S.148: Application to extend time to comply to Order of the Court, etc.


The accrual of cause of action to file this Application: Where any period is fixed by law for the doing of any act or allowed by this Code, or any period is granted by the Court for the doing of any act, and the said act has not been done in the prescribed time or the within such time granted by the Court, the concerned party may make an Application under this Rule, praying that period may be enlarged, so as to comply to the provision of law or comply to the Order of the Court; and the Court is empowered to extend the period by maximum 30 days.


Section 148: Enlargement of time
Where any period is fixed or granted by the Court for the doing of any act prescribed or allowed by this Code, the Court may, in its discretion, from time to time, enlarge such period not exceeding thirty days in total, even though the period originally fixed or granted may have expired.
